Ingredients

Chestnuts (blanched in boiling water, peeled and skinned, cut into cubes)
Vegetable stock
Vegetarian meat cubes
Tofu cubes
Bamboo shoot cubes
Refined salt
Soy sauce
MSG
Sugar
Water starch slurry
Sesame oil

Instructions

1

Prepare the chestnuts

Blanch the chestnuts in boiling water, peel off the shells and thin skins, and cut into cubes.

2

Cook the dish

Place a pot over heat and add the vegetable stock; bring to a boil. Add the vegetarian meat cubes, tofu cubes, bamboo shoot cubes, chestnut cubes, refined salt, soy sauce, MSG, and sugar. Once it returns to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer to let the flavors absorb. When the sauce has reduced, thicken with the water starch slurry, drizzle in the sesame oil, and serve.
