Five-Treasure Vegetarian Buns

Ingredients

rose flour (low-gluten flour) (makes about 30 pieces) 500 g
dry yeast 5 g
sugar 50 g
baking powder 5 g
water 500 g
green vegetables to taste
wood ear mushroom to taste
shiitake mushroom to taste
enoki mushroom to taste
bamboo shoot strips to taste
seasonings to taste

Instructions

Make the dough

Combine the rose flour with a pinch of dry yeast, the sugar, baking powder, and enough water, stir until evenly mixed, then pound thoroughly with a wooden stick.

Shape the buns

Roll the dough into strips, break off small pieces, and wrap each one with a filling made by finely chopping and mixing the green vegetables, wood ear mushroom, shiitake mushroom, enoki mushroom, and seasonings.

Steam

Place the buns in a steamer and steam for 7 minutes until cooked through.
