Garlic and Pepper Pan-Fried Pork Loin

Ingredients

pork loin (remove the surface membrane, cut across the grain into 0.5 cm-thick pieces, and pound gently with the back of a knife) 200 g
lettuce (wash and sanitize, then tear into small pieces) 100 g
minced garlic 1/2 tsp
ground black pepper 1/4 tsp
salt 1/4 tsp
cooking wine 2 tsp
cornstarch slurry 1 tbsp
red wine carrot sauce 3 tbsp
cooking oil (for marinating and pan-frying) to taste

Instructions

1

Prepare the Pork Loin

Remove the surface membrane from the pork loin. Cut it across the grain into 0.5 cm-thick pieces, then pound each piece gently with the back of a knife.

2

Marinate

Mix the pork with the minced garlic, salt, ground black pepper, cooking wine, cornstarch slurry, and cooking oil. Marinate for 10 minutes.

3

Pan-Fry the Pork

Heat a wok or skillet over high heat, add the cooking oil, and pan-fry the pork until both sides are golden brown and just cooked through. Remove it and arrange it on a plate.

4

Plate and Serve

Wash and sanitize the lettuce, tear it into small pieces, and arrange it around the pork. Serve with the red wine carrot sauce.
