Shredded Beef with Pickled Mustard Greens

Ingredients

beef (washed and shredded) 300 g
pickled mustard greens (washed and shredded) 100 g
garlic (washed and finely chopped) 2 cloves
cornstarch (for marinating) to taste
cooking oil 30 g
soy sauce (for marinating) 1 tsp
chili powder 2 tsp
salt 1 tsp
monosodium glutamate (MSG) (the source states "2" but appears to omit the unit) 2 tsp

Instructions

1

Prepare the ingredients

Wash and shred the beef, place it in a bowl with the cornstarch and soy sauce, and marinate for 5 minutes. Wash and shred the pickled mustard greens. Wash and finely chop the garlic.

2

Sear the beef

Heat the oil in a wok, add the shredded beef, and stir-fry briefly just until heated through. Remove the beef and drain off the oil.

3

Combine and season

Add oil to the wok and heat it. Stir-fry the pickled mustard greens until evenly heated, then add the beef, salt, chili powder, and monosodium glutamate. Toss until the flavors are combined, then scatter the chopped garlic over the dish before serving.
