Ingredients

red dates (washed and pitted)
Codonopsis root (washed and cut into sections)
Astragalus root (washed and cut into sections)
chicken (slaughtered, washed, chopped into pieces, and blanched)
cooking wine to taste
salt to taste
MSG to taste
ginger slices to taste

Instructions

1

Step 1

Wash and pit the red dates. Rinse the Codonopsis and Astragalus roots, then cut them into sections. Prepare the chicken, wash it thoroughly, and chop it into pieces.

2

Step 2

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the chopped chicken, and boil it to remove any blood, then drain and rinse it.

3

Step 3

Place the chicken in a stewing vessel and add enough water to cover. Add the Codonopsis, Astragalus, red dates, cooking wine, salt, MSG, and ginger slices. Bring to a boil over high heat, then immediately switch to low heat and simmer until the chicken is tender and has absorbed the flavors.
