Ingredients

Dangshen (Codonopsis root) 50 g
Processed aconite slices 5 g
One-month-old male and female baby pigeons (suffocated, feathers removed and washed, cavity opened to remove the organs, blood water retained) 1
Rice wine (added after removing from heat) 50 g
Rock sugar 200 g

Instructions

Step 1

First, suffocate the pigeons, remove the feathers and wash them, then use scissors to open the cavity and remove the organs, retaining the blood water.

Step 2

Place the pigeons, dangshen, aconite slices, and rock sugar together in a basin, add water to taste, place in a pot and steam over water for 1 hour, remove from heat and discard the herb residue, add the rice wine, transfer to a serving basin and serve.
