Pan-fried Steak

Beef contains the most abundant and diverse set of essential human nutrients, including protein, heme iron, vitamins, zinc, phosphorus, and a wide range of amino acids. While a varied diet cannot fully meet all nutritional requirements, beef delivers necessary nutrients directly and in fully bioavailable forms.

The human body requires 22 amino acids per day; more than half can be synthesized internally, but 8 (10 for children) are classified as essential amino acids that must be obtained from food. Beef contains all of these essential amino acids with 100% bioavailability, a nutritional profile unmatched by any other animal or plant food, giving rise to the common saying that "one serving of beef provides a full day's worth of nutrition".

Lean cuts of beef are rich in high-quality protein, iron, B vitamins, and other premium nutrients. Protein is an indispensable macronutrient for human health, one of the three core nutrients (alongside carbohydrates and fats) required to sustain life. It forms the building blocks of muscles, skin, organs, bones, blood vessels, hair, and nails, and serves as the raw material for producing blood, hormones, oxygen, neurotransmitters, and immune factors.

Beef offers a balanced profile of essential amino acids. Dietary protein is broken down into small amino acid units for the body to use, and essential amino acids cannot be synthesized internally, so they must be replenished through food. This balanced profile is one of beef's key benefits: it supports strong physical development in growing children, and helps older adults with declining digestive function and reduced nutrient absorption meet their nutritional needs.

Beef is also rich in highly absorbable iron, which is critical for transporting oxygen and energy throughout the body via hemoglobin in red blood cells. Dietary iron comes in two forms; women who follow calorie-restricted diets are at high risk of iron deficiency anemia, so adequate iron intake is key to maintaining high energy levels and a vibrant appearance.

The authentic flavor and full nutritional value of beef are best preserved by following strict guidelines for refrigeration, thawing, cooking, and plating. Pan-fried steak is juicy, tender, and packed with exceptional nutritional value. (Source: Baidu)

Pan-fried Steak

Ingredients

Steak 100g
Onion 50g
Black pepper to taste
White sugar A little (optional)
Oyster sauce A little
Butter to taste
Salt 1g

Instructions

1

Step 1

Prepare all ingredients.

2

Step 2

Add all seasonings to a large bowl, coat the steak evenly, and marinate for 10 minutes.

3

Step 3

If using high-quality beef, you can skip marinating to preserve the natural flavor. The steak I bought from the supermarket requires marinating, and it still tastes good after frying.

4

Step 4

Heat a non-stick pan, add butter, and start frying the steak. If you don't like butter, you can use olive oil.

5

Step 5

Wipe off the marinated onion, keep the onion in the bowl for later, and flip the steak when it changes color.

6

Step 6

This is the color after flipping. Fry until the steak reaches the color shown.

7

Step 7

Fry both sides until about 70% cooked (medium-well). Then add the marinated onion and stir-fry until cooked.

8

Step 8

Add chopped basil, fry briefly, then serve.
