Shrimp-Scented Beef Slices

Ingredients

beef (washed and sliced) 150 g
shrimp slices to taste
onion (washed and finely chopped) to taste
ginger (washed and finely chopped) to taste
garlic (washed and finely chopped) 6 cloves
curry powder to taste
satay sauce to taste
stock 2 tsp
cooking wine 1 tsp
white sugar 1 tsp
salt 1 tsp
MSG 2 tsp
soy sauce 1 tsp
starch to taste
cooking oil 30 g (50 g actually used)
sesame oil 1 tsp

Instructions

1

Marinate the Beef

Wash and slice the beef. Add cooking wine, salt, soy sauce, water, starch, and a small amount of cooking oil, then marinate for a while. Wash and finely chop the onion, ginger, and garlic.

2

Fry the Shrimp and Beef

Pour oil into a wok and heat it to about 60% of full heat. Fry the shrimp slices until they curl and open, then remove them and arrange them on a plate. Add the beef slices to the wok and stir until separated, then remove and drain them.

3

Cook and Thicken the Sauce

Leave some oil in the wok and heat it. Add the onion, ginger, garlic, curry powder, satay sauce, cooking wine, white sugar, salt, stock, MSG, and beef slices. Thicken with a slurry made from water and starch. Once the sauce has thickened, transfer it over the shrimp slices and serve.
