Chocolate, Nut and Coconut Squares

Ingredients

biscuits/cookies 200 g
dark chocolate 90 g
colored marshmallows (small pieces) 200 g
chopped nuts 150 g
glacé cherries (halved) 90 g
shredded coconut 50 g
milk chocolate 350 g

Instructions

1

Make the base

Place the biscuits in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin. Transfer to a bowl. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler, then pour it over the crushed biscuits. Mix carefully. Press the mixture into a 20 cm shallow square cake tin.

2

Make the top layer

In another bowl, mix the marshmallows, nuts, cherries and coconut. Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler.

3

Assemble

Pour the melted milk chocolate over the marshmallow mixture. Stir gently. Spread this mixture over the chocolate base, keeping some large chunks for texture.

4

Chill and cut

Chill in the refrigerator until firm, then cut into squares or bars.
