Japanese-Style Chestnut Dark Chocolate Oat Milk

Story

This cozy beverage combines the earthy sweetness of roasted chestnuts with rich dark chocolate and wholesome oats. The blender does all the work—heating and blending in one seamless program. Finish with a splash of cold milk for a perfectly balanced drink that's neither too hot nor too cold.

Ingredients

roasted chestnut kernels 100g
dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher) 30g
rolled oats 30g
water 600ml
whole milk 200ml
sugar or honey 20g
pinch of salt a pinch

Instructions

1

Prep the ingredients

Break the chestnut kernels into small bite-sized pieces. Chop the dark chocolate into rough chunks—this helps it blend more evenly and prevents clumping.

2

Add base ingredients to blender

Place the chestnuts, oats, water, chocolate chunks, sugar, and salt into the blender carafe. Make sure the liquid stays below the 900ml hot beverage line. Do NOT add the milk yet.

3

Run soy milk cycle

Select the soy milk or hot beverage program on your blender. This will heat and blend the mixture automatically, creating a smooth consistency without sticking to the bottom.

4

Finish with milk

Once the cycle finishes, turn off the blender and carefully open the lid to let steam escape. Pour in the cold milk, then use the pulse or blend function for 10–20 seconds to incorporate everything. Serve immediately—no additional heating needed.
