Clay Pot Popcorn

Story

Making popcorn at home brings back the simple joy of hearing kernels pop and fill the kitchen with a toasty aroma. As the corn bursts in the clay pot and the sugar melts into a sweet coating, you get a light, crispy treat that is perfect for a casual snack or a cozy movie night.

Ingredients

Small popcorn kernels 50g
Butter 10g
White sugar 15g

Instructions

1

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients, wash the corn kernels and wipe them dry with a dry cloth; rinse the clay pot clean and wipe it dry for later use.

2

Step 2

Place the butter in the clay pot and let it melt into a liquid, then turn off the heat.

3

Step 3

Pour the small corn kernels into the pot, stir evenly with a spatula so that every small corn kernel is evenly coated with oil.

4

Step 4

Cover the pot and turn on low heat, wait patiently; you can hear crackling sounds inside the pot, indicating that the small corn kernels are turning into popcorn; during this time, wear gloves and shake the clay pot occasionally to ensure the corn kernels are heated evenly and prevent the pot from scorching at the bottom, until the crackling sounds become fewer and fewer, indicating that the corn kernels have all turned into popcorn, at this point turn off the heat.

5

Step 5

Open the lid and pour in the white sugar.

6

Step 6

Stir quickly, use the heat to melt the white sugar so it coats the popcorn, and it is ready to eat after cooling down.
