Story

Fruit black tea is a popular, refreshing homemade beverage in Chinese culinary tradition, blending the bold, malty notes of steeped black tea with the bright, natural sweetness of mixed fresh fruits. It works wonderfully served warm for a cozy pick-me-up or chilled over ice for a cooling, light drink suited to all seasons.

Ingredients

black tea 1 packet
apple half
honey a pinch
kumquat 4 pieces

Instructions

Step 1

Place the black tea bag in a cup, pour in hot water at around 85°C, steep for approximately 10 minutes until the tea liquid turns dark amber

While waiting, wash the fruits separately and cut them into small dice

Pour the steeped black tea into the cup, then add the diced fruit

Add a small amount of honey, stir to combine evenly and it is ready to serve
