Plum Pork Ribs

Ingredients

pork ribs (washed, drained, and patted dry) to taste
water 1 tbsp
light soy sauce 2 tsp
Shaoxing cooking wine 2 tsp
cornstarch 1 heaping tsp
sesame oil 1 tsp
cooking oil to taste
minced garlic to taste
ground fermented bean paste to taste
sugar to taste
plums to taste
seasoning sauce to taste
shredded ginger to taste
red chili pepper to taste
chopped scallions to taste

Instructions

1

Marinating the Ribs

Wash the ribs, drain them, and pat them dry with kitchen paper. Place them in a deep 20 cm dish, add the seasonings, and mix until evenly coated. Marinate for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to absorb.

2

Preparing the Sauce

Place the oil and minced garlic in a small bowl and heat on high for 1 minute. Add the ground fermented bean paste and sugar, stir well, seal the bowl tightly with plastic wrap, and heat on high for another 30 seconds.

3

Combining the Ingredients

Add the plums, seasoning sauce, and shredded ginger to the ribs in the deep dish and mix well. Arrange the ribs around the edge of the dish, leaving an open space in the center, then seal tightly with plastic wrap.

4

Microwave Cooking

Microwave the ribs on high for 2 minutes. Uncover the dish, turn the ribs over, add the red chili pepper, and mix. Cover again and microwave on high for another 2 minutes.

5

Final Plating

Sprinkle with the chopped scallions and let stand for 3 minutes before serving.
