Syrup
A sweet syrup sauce made with golden syrup, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
Ingredients
golden syrup
8 oz (240 g)
water
1/2 pt (3 dl)
cornflour or arrowroot
1/2 oz (15 g)
lemon (juice only)

Instructions

Mix
Mix the cornflour with a little of the water.

Boil
Boil the rest of the water with the syrup and lemon juice.

Thicken
Add the diluted cornflour, stir, and boil for a few minutes until it thickens.
