Ingredients

butter (diced) 50g
extra-fine powdered sugar 115g
vanilla extract 1 tsp
food coloring (pink or green) to taste
egg 1
cake flour 200g
sour ring-shaped candies 2 large bags
pastel-colored ribbon to taste

Instructions

1

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease 2 baking sheets.

2

Step 2

In a bowl, cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add a few drops of pink or green food coloring, then add the egg. Mix in the flour to form a dough.

3

Step 3

Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and roll with the palms of your hands into 2 ropes, each about 40 cm long.

4

Step 4

Cut each rope into 5 mm thick slices and arrange them on the baking sheets, leaving a little space between each. Place the baking sheets in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.

5

Step 5

Bake for 8 minutes, until the cookies puff up and start to turn golden. As soon as they come out of the oven, use a toothpick to poke a hole in each cookie for threading the ribbon. Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.

6

Step 6

Thread the cookies onto 55 cm long ribbons, alternating with the candies (about 7 cookies per ribbon). Tie the ends of each ribbon into loops.
