Story
This elegant dessert combines the delicate texture of premium bird's nest with the subtle sweetness of fresh snow pears. Rock sugar adds a mellow sweetness that complements the natural flavors perfectly.

Instructions
Soak the bird's nest
Place dried bird's nest in a bowl and cover with purified water. Let soak for 4-8 hours at room temperature until completely softened and expanded. Drain and rinse thoroughly, picking apart any clumps with tweezers to remove feathers.
Prepare the pears
Wash the snow pears well. You can leave them whole with stems intact, or cut in half and core. For a decorative presentation, scoop out small cavities from the tops to create natural serving bowls.
Combine and simmer
Place the prepared bird's nest and snow pears in a double boiler or heavy-bottomed pot. Add rock sugar and purified water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, then reduce to low and cook for 40-50 minutes until pears are tender and soup turns golden.
Finish and serve
Remove from heat. If desired, add soaked goji berries in the last few minutes. Serve warm in the pear halves themselves for an elegant presentation, or ladle into individual bowls.
