New Orleans Style Grilled Chicken

Story

This recipe brings the bold flavors of New Orleans to your home kitchen. The magic lies in the marinade—paprika, garlic, and a hint of cayenne create that distinctive smoky-sweet profile. Serve with steamed rice or as a main course.

Ingredients

chicken thighs, boneless 500g, sliced into strips
olive oil 2 tablespoons
New Orleans seasoning 2 tablespoons
honey 1 tablespoon
soy sauce 1 tablespoon
garlic, minced 3 cloves
black pepper to taste

Instructions

1

Season the chicken

Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized strips. In a bowl, combine New Orleans seasoning, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. Toss the chicken pieces in the mixture until evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

2

Fire up the grill

Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil to prevent sticking. Working in batches, lay the chicken pieces in a single layer without overcrowding.

3

Cook to golden perfection

Grill each side for 3-4 minutes until the chicken develops a beautiful char and reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F). Flip halfway through. Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with fresh black pepper.
