Thai-Style Edamame

A simple and spicy Thai-inspired stir-fry of boiled edamame with garlic, dried chilies, and bay leaves.

Thai-Style Edamame

Ingredients

Edamame (soybeans in pods) as needed
Garlic, minced to taste
Dried red chilies to taste
Bay leaves as needed
Black pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Sugar a pinch
Chicken bouillon powder to taste
Cooking oil as needed

Instructions

Boil the edamame

Trim the ends of the edamame pods. Boil in water for 3 minutes, then remove and drain well.

Make the aromatics

Heat oil in a pan. Add the minced garlic, dried red chilies, bay leaves, and black pepper. Stir-fry until fragrant. Add salt and a little sugar, then mix well.

Combine and season

Add the cooked edamame to the pan and stir-fry evenly. Season with chicken bouillon powder to taste and serve.
