Bamboo Shoot Beef Sauce Stir-Fried Green Beans

Story

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover beef sauce and transform simple green beans into something special. The bamboo shoots add nice texture while the beef sauce provides deep savory flavor.

Ingredients

Green beans 300g
Bamboo shoot beef sauce 1/2 cup (120ml)
Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
Water for blanching

Instructions

1

Prepare the green beans

Trim the ends off the green beans and cut into 1-inch pieces. Bring a pot of water to boil, add the beans, and blanch for 2 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp. Drain well.

2

Start the stir-fry

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the blanched green beans and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they develop slight charring.

3

Add the sauce and simmer

Pour in the bamboo shoot beef sauce and stir everything together. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.

4

Finish with oyster sauce

Drizzle oyster sauce over the beans, stir well to coat evenly. Remove from heat and serve immediately as a side dish or over steamed noodles.
