Wash the chicken drumsticks under running water.

Poke holes on the surface with a toothpick, or make a couple of cuts with a knife.

Add salt, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce, then marinate for 15 minutes.

Heat the oil and sauté the Sichuan peppercorns and garlic until fragrant.
