Braised Pork with Chestnuts

Ingredients

Pork (cut into chunks) 1-1.25 kg
Shelled chestnuts (peeled and halved) 300 g
Vegetable oil to taste
Soy sauce to taste
Chopped scallions to taste
Water to taste

Step 1

Cut the pork (sanhua pork or hind leg meat both work) into chunks. Shell the chestnuts, remove the inner skin, and cut them in half.

Heat the wok and add the vegetable oil. Add the chopped scallions and stir-fry until fragrant. Then add the chestnuts and pork and stir-fry briefly. Pour in an appropriate amount of water and soy sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce to low heat and simmer until fully cooked.
