Crucian Carp and Tofu Soup

Ingredients

Crucian carp 1 whole fish
Tofu a small piece
Ginger a small piece
Salt a little
Cooking oil to taste

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients as shown in the picture.

Clean the crucian carp (mine was cleaned at the market), use kitchen blotting paper to absorb the moisture from the surface, slice the tofu, wash the ginger, smash it, and set aside.

Place the wok over the heat, and add an appropriate amount of oil once the wok is hot.

Slide the crucian carp in and pan-fry until fragrant.

Flip it over, then pan-fry the other side until fragrant.

Add a sufficient amount of water, add the ginger, and bring to a boil over high heat.

After the water boils, continue boiling over high heat for a few minutes until the soup turns milky white, add the tofu, switch to low heat, cover, and simmer for about twenty minutes.

Season with an appropriate amount of salt and it is ready to serve.
