Dark Chocolate Truffles

Dark Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients

70% dark chocolate (chopped) 100 g
cocoa powder (for coating) 4 tbsp
powdered sugar 50 g
butter 50 g
extra fresh egg (separate yolk and white) 1
milk 2 tbsp

Instructions

Melt the chocolate

Chop the chocolate. Place in a heavy-bottomed pan, add sugar, milk, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

Add egg yolk

Separate the egg, pour the yolk into the melted chocolate mixture, and mix quickly.

Chill

Let the chocolate mixture cool slightly, then refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.

Shape and coat

Place cocoa powder in a shallow dish. Take a portion of the mixture, roll quickly into a ball in your palm, then roll in the cocoa powder to coat.

Finish

Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour before serving. You can flavor with Grand Marnier, rum, brandy, etc.
