Ingredients

Croissant (each cut into 4 pieces) 2
Mixed dried fruits (raisins, apricots, black dates, cranberries, orange peel, or any combination you like) 100~130 g
Granulated sugar (for caramel) 40 g
Water (for caramel) 15 g
Unsalted butter to taste

Instructions

1

Prepare Dried Fruits

Quickly rinse the mixed dried fruits with water and drain well.

2

Make the Caramel

Place the granulated sugar and water in a saucepan and heat over high heat to make a caramel sauce, then pour it into a buttered heatproof baking dish.

3

Arrange and Bake

Arrange the croissants (each cut into 4 pieces) in the dish, sprinkle with the dried fruits, pour over the egg custard mixture, and let rest for about 5 minutes. Then bake in an oven preheated to 150°C (300°F) for 35-40 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
