garlic cloves 3, thinly sliced
vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
salt 1/2 teaspoon
water 3 tablespoons

Instructions

1

Prepare the beans

Shell the fava beans and remove any tough outer skins. Rinse well and drain. The beans should be bright green and tender.

2

Start cooking

Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant and lightly golden.

3

Cook until tender

Add the fava beans and water to the pan. Sprinkle with salt. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender but still bright green. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
