Honey-Glazed Red Taro
A Zhejiang-style dish with a golden color and a sweet, fragrant flavor.
Ingredients
Red taro (washed, peeled, and cut into pointed blocks)
1000 g
Honey
200 g
Rock sugar
125 g
Water (for dissolving the sugar)

Prepare the red taro
Select large orange-red taro, wash and peel, then cut into pointed blocks.

Simmer
Place a bamboo rack at the bottom of a clay pot, add water and rock sugar, and heat over the fire until the sugar dissolves. Add the taro and honey, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 1 hour.

Plate and serve
Once the sauce has thickened, plate the taro and drizzle the original syrup over it before serving.
