Story

These wings get their flavor from a unique marinade that combines the savoriness of American-style BBQ spices with a kick of chili. A long rest in the fridge ensures the meat stays juicy and absorbs all the delicious seasonings before hitting the oven.

Ingredients

Chicken wings 3 whole wings
Fresh ginger 1 tsp, minced
BBQ seasoning powder 1 tbsp
Chili powder 1 tsp
Light soy sauce 1 tbsp
Chicken bouillon powder 1/2 tsp

Prep the Chicken

Take the 3 chicken wings and separate them into drumettes and flats by cutting through the joint at the root. Place the pieces in a mixing bowl.

Make the Marinade

Add the minced ginger, BBQ seasoning powder, chili powder, light soy sauce, and chicken bouillon powder to the bowl with the wings. Mix everything thoroughly until the wings are evenly coated.

Marinate

Cover the bowl and let the chicken sit in the refrigerator for 2 hours to absorb the flavors. Halfway through, give the pieces a stir or flip them with chopsticks to ensure even seasoning.

Roast

Preheat your oven to 200°C (approx. 400°F). Arrange the marinated wings on a baking sheet lined with foil. Roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown, and the meat is cooked through.
