Ingredients

Powdered sugar (keep some extra) 90 g
Butter (diced) 50 g
Shortbread or cookies 10
Ready-made icing 200 g
Pink food coloring a pinch
Soft pink candies to taste
Liquid dark chocolate (for drawing facial features) to taste

Instructions

1

Make the buttercream

Make the buttercream: Place the sugar and butter in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until creamy.

2

Prepare the icing

Add a few drops of pink food coloring to most of the icing (reserve 25 g). Knead the mixture on a work surface dusted with a little powdered sugar to distribute the color evenly. Dye the reserved 25 g of icing pink as well.

3

Assemble the cookies

Spread the buttercream on the shortbread with a small metal palette knife, right to the edges. Cut out circles from the pink icing using a cutter slightly smaller than the cookie diameter. Place one circle on each cookie and press gently so it sticks to the buttercream.

4

Make the ears

Roll out the reserved pink and white icing thinly. Dampen the white icing, place the pink icing on top and press together. Use a sharp small knife to cut out triangles for the ears. Dampen one side edge of each ear and attach it to the cookie, pink side up. Make a small dimple on the inside of each ear.

5

Make the noses

Cut 5 pink candies in half. Shape each half into an oval. Use a toothpick or wooden skewer to poke two small holes in each candy for the nostrils. Use a little buttercream to stick a half candy in the middle of each cookie.

6

Draw the facial features

Dip the end of a piping tube into the liquid dark chocolate and pipe eyes above the nose, then draw a curved mouth.
