Oyster Sauce Beef and Onion Skewers
Tender beef cubes marinated in a savory oyster sauce blend, threaded with sweet onions and roasted to perfection.
Story
These skewers offer a wonderful balance of savory and sweet flavors. The key is letting the beef soak up the marinade long enough to become tender. The high heat of the oven creates a delicious char while keeping the inside juicy.

Instructions
Prep and Marinate
Cut the beef brisket into uniform, bite-sized cubes. Dice the onion into similar-sized chunks. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef, onion, ginger slices, lemon juice, oyster sauce, and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly to coat the meat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
Assemble the Skewers
Soak the bamboo skewers in water for about 15 minutes to prevent scorching. Remove the meat and onions from the marinade. Thread the ingredients onto the skewers, alternating between pieces of beef and onion for even cooking.
Roast to Perfection
Preheat your oven to 220°C (approx 425°F). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the skewers on top. Place them in the oven and roast for 18 minutes. Remove the tray, flip the skewers over, sprinkle with white sesame seeds, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes or until the beef is cooked through and slightly charred.
