Peacock Spreading Tail Fish

Story

The fish is sliced and fanned out like a peacock’s tail, then steamed until tender and finished with a sizzling hot oil dressing. The aroma of ginger, garlic, and soy sauce fills the kitchen, creating a festive centerpiece that is as visually striking as it is delicious.

Ingredients

Wuchang fish 1 whole fish
Salt 10 g
Cooking wine 10 g
Shredded green onion to taste
Shredded ginger to taste
Sliced garlic to taste
Millet chili 2 pieces
Steamed fish soy sauce 2 tbsp
Light soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sesame oil to taste
White pepper a pinch
Chicken essence powder a pinch
Roasted white sesame seeds a pinch

Instructions

Clean the Wuchang fish thoroughly, then rinse clean and drain the water, and cut off the fish head and tail

Then cut the fish back into slices 1 cm thick, without cutting through the belly
