A creative low-calorie dish that uses a half-ripe papaya as a vessel, filled with green beans, hot pot meatballs, and a light salsa sauce, then baked au gratin.

Sauce-Baked Meatball Papaya Bowl

Ingredients

Half-ripe papaya (peeled and deseeded, with a horizontal cut at the bottom) 1/2
Assorted hot pot meatballs 100 g
Green beans (trim ends and remove coarse fibers along both sides) 100 g
Shredded cheese 10 g
Salt (for blanching) 1 tsp
Low-calorie salsa 2 tbsp

Instructions

Prepare the papaya

Wrap the half-ripe papaya in aluminum foil.

Prepare the green beans

Blanch the green beans in salted boiling water, transfer to ice water, drain, and dice into small cubes.

Prepare the meatballs

Blanch the assorted hot pot meatballs in boiling water, then drain.

Assemble the filling

Place the diced green beans inside the papaya, add 1 tbsp of the low-calorie salsa, then add the meatballs from Step 3.

Finish the bake

Drizzle with the remaining salsa, top with the shredded cheese, place in a preheated oven, and bake for about 15 minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden.
