Spicy Sauce Chicken
A Zhejiang-style dish featuring rich flavors, nutritious ingredients, and a mildly spicy finish.

Chicken legs (about 600g, washed and chopped into large pieces)

Marinating the chicken
Wash the chicken legs and chop into large pieces. Add the marinade ingredients and marinate for 30 minutes.

Preparing the Chinese broccoli
Wash the Chinese broccoli and trim neatly. Stir-fry with 1 tbsp of oil until softened, then add the seasoning and cook through. Drain and set aside.

Frying the chicken
Drain the liquid from the chicken pieces, toss with flour and cornstarch to coat. Fry in medium-hot oil until cooked through.

Finishing the sauce and plating
Heat 1 tbsp of oil, sauté the chopped ginger, green onion, and red chili until fragrant. Add the seasoning mixture and bring to a gentle boil, then add the chicken pieces and toss to combine. Transfer to a serving plate and arrange the Chinese broccoli around the edge.
