This Spicy Shredded Chicken (Xiangla Rousi) is a quick and delicious home-style dish. It combines the soft texture of marinated chicken breast with the crispness of peppers and the unique aroma of cilantro. Perfect for a simple weeknight dinner served over steamed rice.

Ingredients

Chicken breast 1 piece
Green pepper 1
Red pepper 1
Cilantro 1 handful
Ginger to taste
Garlic to taste
Oyster sauce to taste
Vegetable oil as needed
Starch to taste
Salt to taste

Instructions

Prepare one piece of chicken breast.

Set aside the green peppers, red peppers, and cilantro stalks.

Prepare all the seasonings (oyster sauce, vegetable oil, ginger, garlic, starch, salt).

Trim the tendons and films from the chicken breast and cut into strips.

Remove seeds and stems from the green and red peppers, cut into strips; cut the cilantro stalks into sections.
