Stewed Beef Brisket

Story

The beef is first blanched and stir-fried with aromatics before being pressure-cooked in plenty of water, resulting in a rich, savory broth and tender meat that is perfect for sipping.

Ingredients

Beef brisket 1000g
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Cooking wine 1 tbsp
Light soy sauce 1 tbsp
Dark soy sauce 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Star anise to taste
Ginger to taste
Garlic to taste

Instructions

Fresh beef brisket

Cut into chunks, cut according to personal preference

Bring water to a boil and blanch briefly

Take out and set aside, prepare chopped green onions, garlic, star anise, and ginger for stir-frying in the pot

Heat the oil and stir-fry the aromatics

Add the beef brisket to the pot and stir-fry.

Add cooking wine and seasonings, stir-fry until the meat changes color, then remove from the pot

Pour the stir-fried beef brisket into a pressure cooker, add an appropriate amount of water, (I added more water because I want to drink the soup.) place the safety valve, vent for about 10 minutes, then turn off the heat.
