Stir-fried Okra and Green Pepper with Shrimp
Okra is a relatively recent addition to our family table. Because of its mucilaginous texture, I usually use it in soups. Today I stir-fried it with shrimp, and the flavor was also excellent — a fitting dish for a National Day or Mid-Autumn family gathering.

Instructions
Step 1
Main ingredients.
Step 2
Wash the okra and cut into diagonal slices.
Step 3
Wash the green pepper and slice it; briefly pass through hot oil and set aside.
Step 4
Heat oil and briefly pass the shrimp through it; set aside.
Step 5
Using the oil used for the shrimp, add minced ginger to bloom the fragrance, add cooking wine, a little light soy sauce, then add the okra and stir-fry.
Step 6
Add the shrimp and salt, pour in a little water, and cook the okra through (okra releases a slippery mucilage, so a splash of water helps prevent sticking and burning).
Step 7
Finally add the green pepper along with salt and MSG. Stir-fry briefly until evenly combined and serve.
Step 8
Okra, green pepper and shrimp stir-fry.
