Ingredients

all-purpose flour (approx 1 1/2 cups) 185 g
cocoa powder 1 tbsp
cinnamon powder 2 tsp
baking powder 1 tsp
baking soda 1/2 tsp
salt 1/4 tsp
egg (beaten, shell removed) 1
fresh milk 1/4 cup
sugar 4 tbsp
oil 2 tbsp
chocolate (cut into small pieces, melted over a double boiler) 100 g
almond slices (toasted at 175 C for about 5 minutes) to taste

Instructions

1

Mix Dry Ingredients

Mix the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, sift them together, and place in a mixing bowl.

2

Make the Dough

Beat the egg (after removing the shell), mix well with fresh milk and sugar, then add oil and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture over the flour and stir to form a dough.

3

Shape the Dough

Place the dough on a floured work surface, roll it out gently into a sheet about 1 cm thick, then use a donut cutter to cut out shapes.

4

Fry the Donuts

Heat oil in a pot to 150~160 C, fry the donuts on both sides until golden brown, for about 2 minutes.

5

Decorate the Donuts

Spread the almond slices evenly on a baking tray, place in a preheated oven and toast at 175 C for about 5 minutes. Cut the chocolate into small pieces, put in a small pot, melt over a double boiler, drizzle over the fried donuts, then sprinkle with the toasted almond slices.
