Apple Crumble Pie
Apple crumble dessert featuring an apple base, almond flour crumb topping, and a fragrant Calvados note.

apples (peeled and cut into thick slices)

whole wheat flour
100 g
salted butter (cut into small cubes, room temperature)
100 g
brown sugar
120 g
almond flour
50 g
cinnamon powder
1 tsp
Calvados
4 tbsp
salt

Preheat and prepare the apples
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the cores and seeds, and slice them thickly. Place them in a deep dish and drizzle with the Calvados.

Make the crumble
In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, almond flour, cinnamon powder, brown sugar, and the butter cut into small cubes. Add the salt and gently mix until evenly combined.

Assemble and bake
Butter a baking dish, arrange the Calvados-soaked apple slices in it, and cover with the crumble mixture. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
