Banana Sago Soup
A traditional sweet sago soup from Zhejiang, featuring translucent cooked sago paired with banana. It has an elegant hue and a sweet, delicious flavor.

Soaking the Sago
Place the sago in a bowl and soak in cold water. Peel the bananas and cut them into fingernail-sized slices. Set aside.

Cooking the Sago
Wash the wok, add water and bring to a boil. Pour in the sago and cook over low heat until there is no white core. Add the white sugar, and once it boils, skim off the foam.

Thickening the Soup
Mix the starch with water to form a slurry, pour it into the pot to create a light thickening, add the bananas, stir well, then transfer to a serving bowl.

Finishing
Sprinkle with rose petals and sugared osmanthus. Serve immediately.
