Black Fungus and Sesame Tea

Black Fungus and Sesame Tea

Ingredients

Black fungus (30 g stir-fried, 30 g raw) 60 g
Black sesame seeds 15 g
Water approximately 1500 g

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the wok clean and place it over medium heat until hot. Add 30 g of black fungus to the wok and continuously stir-fry. When the black fungus changes color from gray to black and gives off a slight toasted aroma, remove it from the heat and transfer to a bowl, set aside for later use.

Place the wok back over the heat, add the black sesame seeds and lightly toast until fragrant. Then pour in approximately 1500 g of water and add both the raw and toasted black fungus. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from the heat and strain through a clean double layer of fine cheesecloth. Collect the filtrate in a container and it is ready to serve.
