blue plate beef patties
Juicy, tender beef patties served with mushroom beef sauce.
Ingredients
egg (beaten)
1
green onions (with tops, sliced)
2
seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup
prepared mustard
1 tbsp
ground beef
1.5 lb
beef gravy
1 can (12 oz)
water
1/2 cup
prepared horseradish
2-3 tsp
fresh mushrooms (sliced)
1/2 lb
Instructions
1
Form the patties
In a bowl, beat the egg; stir in the green onions, bread crumbs, and mustard. Place the ground beef in the bowl and mix until fully combined. Shape the mixture into four 1/2-inch thick patties.
2
Cook the patties
Cook the patties in an ungreased skillet for 4-5 minutes per side, until the meat is no longer pink; drain any excess fat.
3
Make the sauce
In a small bowl, combine the beef gravy, water, and horseradish, then stir in the mushrooms. Pour the sauce over the patties. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the patties are heated through.
