Chocolate Ribbons
Method for making curved chocolate ribbons using a dipping technique.
Ingredients
chocolate paste
125g
non-stick baking paper (cut into needed strips)
Instructions
1
Prepare the paper strips
Cut the non-stick baking paper into strips of the length and shape you need for your desired ribbon size.
2
Explain the quantity
125g of chocolate paste can make twelve ribbons, each 1.5 cm wide and 15 cm long.
3
Dip in chocolate
Hold both ends of the paper strip and fully dip one side of the strip into the chocolate paste.
4
Shape and set
Place the chocolate-coated side facing up over a rolling pin so it sets into a gentle arc. Alternatively, place the two ends of the ribbon into an empty egg carton and use the curved shape inside the carton to create a curled effect. Once the chocolate has set, peel off the baking paper.
