Ingredients

Ivory white radish (washed, peeled, cut into long slices, then make 5 connected cuts to form linked slices) About 1000 g
Cilantro leaves (for garnish) A pinch
Dry starch (for coating) As needed
Vegetarian broth (for cooking) As needed
Salt (for seasoning) As needed
White pepper (for seasoning) As needed
MSG (for seasoning) As needed

Instructions

Preparing the Radish

Wash and peel the radish, cut into long slices, then make 5 connected cuts to form linked slices. Soak in water until tender, drain, coat evenly with dry starch and shake off excess. Steam until fully cooked, then rinse in water and soak in clear water.

First Cooking

Bring the vegetarian broth to a boil with salt, add the soaked radish slices and simmer briefly, then transfer to a soup bowl.

Pouring the Broth and Finishing

Bring the vegetarian broth to a boil with salt, white pepper, and MSG. Skim off the foam, pour over the radish in the soup bowl, sprinkle with cilantro, and serve.
