Ingredients
Instructions
Prepare the Filling
Roll the washed red bean paste into round fillings, one at a time.
Make the Hot Water Dough
Sift the flour into a pot, pour in boiling water, and scald until the flour is fully cooked through, then remove from the heat and let cool.
Mix the Dough
Add the frozen lard to the cooled hot water dough in several portions and rub/knead by hand until evenly combined into a smooth dough.
Shape and Fry
Heat the frying oil to about 200°C. Wrap each filling with a portion of dough and drop the filled pieces into the oil one at a time. Fry until a crispy, net-like web forms and the surface turns golden, then remove from the oil.
Decorate
Decorate the cooled fried pieces, embellishing them into figure-shaped little flower baskets.
