Cumin Grilled Pork Ribs
Cantonese-style grilled ribs, seasoned with a ground blend of cumin, licorice, and white pepper for marinating or dusting before grilling. Savory and aromatic, without feeling greasy.
Ingredients
Pork ribs
1500g
Cumin (ground into powder)
75g
Refined salt
35g
Licorice (ground into powder)
15g
White pepper (ground into powder)
5g
Instructions
1
Making the powder
Grind the cumin, licorice, and white pepper into powder, add refined salt and mix well.
2
Marinating or Grilling
There are two methods: the first is to use this powder to marinate the pork ribs before grilling; the second is to sprinkle this powder onto the surface of the ribs while grilling. The first method is simple, but the meat retains slightly less moisture; the second method preserves the original flavor of the pork ribs and ensures tenderness.
3
Plating
Once the pork ribs are cooked, simply chop them onto a plate. No need to drizzle with honey glaze or honey.
