Dual-Flavor Roasted Chicken Legs

I roasted two whole chicken thighs in an air fryer, originally planning to make two different flavors: one Orleans-style, one Thai spicy. Once they finished roasting, they turned out the same color, making it impossible to tell which was which... As long as you’re willing to give it a try, you can easily make roasted chicken thighs at home too — all you need is an air fryer or oven, and the process is incredibly simple.

Dual-Flavor Roasted Chicken Legs

Ingredients

whole chicken leg 2 pieces
Orleans chicken wing seasoning 30 g
Thai spicy chicken wing seasoning 30 g

Instructions

1

Step 1

Wash the chicken legs thoroughly, rubbing the skin. Use scissors to trim off any uneven edges. Soak for 30 minutes to draw out blood. Then make a few shallow cuts in the meat without cutting all the way through, and poke some holes with a fork so the flavors can penetrate better.

2

Step 2

Take a large bowl, place 1 chicken leg inside, add 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, then add one type of wing seasoning, and rub it in by hand for a while.

3

Step 3

Then place it in a sealed bag. Repeat with the other chicken leg. Refrigerate both overnight, ideally flipping them over periodically so the marinade is evenly distributed.

4

Step 4

Line the air fryer with a sheet of aluminum foil and arrange the chicken legs, smoothing out the skin so they look nice after roasting. It's recommended to start with the skin side down, meat facing up, and roast at 200°C for 15 minutes.

5

Step 5

Flip the chicken legs so the skin faces up and roast for another 5-10 minutes.

6

Step 6

The roasted chicken legs are best when the skin is slightly crispy and charred; you can trim off any overly burnt edges.
