Ingredients
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the taro, then cut it into thin slices of varying thickness.
Step 2
Place the taro slices in clean water, wash them twice to remove excess starch to make the slices crispier. Finally, use kitchen paper towels to pat the taro slices dry.
Step 3
Heat the oil to medium-high heat (the temperature where small bubbles form around a wooden chopstick inserted into the oil). Add the taro slices one by one, spreading them evenly in the pan to fry.
Step 4
Fry until the taro slices turn light golden, then remove them from the pan.
Step 5
Drain the excess oil from the fried taro slices.
Step 6
The fried taro slices are already very fragrant without any seasoning, but you can sprinkle a little salt and pepper blend for an even better texture. (You can adjust this to your taste; black pepper powder or BBQ seasoning also work great.)
Step 7
These crispy, crunchy taro slices are absolutely delicious.
Step 8
So delicious you won't be able to stop eating them.
