Garlic Butter Pork Patties

Story

These savory pork patties combine lean ground pork with butter and garlic for an incredibly flavorful result. The butter keeps the meat incredibly tender while creating a beautiful golden crust when seared.

Ingredients

lean ground pork 300g
unsalted butter 25g
egg 1 large
white onion, finely minced 3 tablespoons
all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons
garlic cloves, minced 2 cloves
cooking wine 1 teaspoon
freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
salt 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

1

Mix the meat

Place the ground pork in a large bowl. Add the minced onion, garlic, egg, flour, cooking wine, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined and the mixture holds together well.

2

Form the patties

Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten gently into a patty about 1cm thick. Set aside on a plate.

3

Sear the patties

Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt and foam. Carefully place the patties in the pan in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.

4

Flip and finish

Flip each patty and cook another 4-5 minutes until fully cooked through and golden on the other side. The internal temperature should reach 74°C (165°F). Remove from heat and let rest briefly before serving.
