Ingredients

Push-pop cake (already filled and piped with frosting, flavor of choice) 1 piece
Black fondant 20 g
Royal icing (tinted with black food coloring paste) A pinch

Instructions

1

Step 1

Take half of the black fondant and shape it into the base of the graduation cap, flattening the top to serve as the cap board.

2

Step 2

Reserve a small piece of fondant for the tassel, then roll out the remaining black fondant to about 5 mm thick and cut out a square large enough for the cap board.

3

Step 3

Roll the reserved fondant into a long strip that is thick on one end and thin on the other. Carefully use a craft knife to finely cut the thicker end to create a tassel. Fill a piping bag with the black royal icing and use a little of the icing to attach the tassel to the top of the cap board. Let dry overnight.

4

Step 4

Once dry, use more black royal icing to attach the cap board to the cap base.

5

Step 5

Place the graduation cap on top of the finished push-pop cake.
