Grilled Salmon Kebabs with Turmeric and Ginger

Story

These salmon kebabs bring together the healing power of omega-3 fatty acids with powerful anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric and ginger. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner or weekend grilling session.

Ingredients

Salmon fillet 1.5 pounds, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
Extra virgin olive oil 3 tablespoons
Fresh ginger 1 inch, grated
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Garlic cloves 3, minced
Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Wooden skewers 8, soaked in water 30 minutes

Instructions

1

Prepare the marinade

In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, grated ginger, turmeric, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.

2

Marinate the salmon

Add salmon cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat all pieces. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

3

Assemble the kebabs

Thread 4-5 salmon cubes onto each soaked wooden skewer, leaving a small gap between pieces for even cooking.

4

Grill the kebabs

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Place kebabs on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, turning carefully, until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
