Heart-Shaped Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

all-purpose flour 250 g
baking powder 2.5 g
powdered sugar 125 g
vanilla powder 2 g
salt 1.5 g
butter (chilled) 125 g
egg yolks 4
egg wash (for brushing surface) half
coarse granulated sugar 100 g
white chocolate (melted) 80 g

Instructions

1

Step 1

Sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, powdered sugar, vanilla powder, and salt, then mix thoroughly. Add the chilled butter and mix until the butter particles are finer.

2

Step 2

Pour in the egg yolks and mix until fully combined, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

3

Step 3

Take out the dough and roll it to a thickness of 3 mm.

4

Step 4

Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes as shown. Take half of the cut cookie blanks, then use a smaller heart-shaped cutter to cut out the centers to create hollows.

5

Step 5

Brush each cut heart-shaped dough piece with egg wash, then sprinkle with coarse granulated sugar. Place in a small oven and bake at 160°C with both top and bottom heating for 15 minutes.

6

Step 6

Let cool after removing from the oven, then stick the hollow cookies together with the solid cookies, and pipe melted white chocolate into the center hollow.
